At 52, radio broadcaster and comedian Jo Stanley is building her first start-up. The idea for Broad Radio – a live radio station and podcast group aimed at middle-aged women – came to her in a meditation and a year later she had not been able to get it out of her system.
She had worked in the industry since the early 2000s, notably as one half of The Matt and Jo Show, Melbourne’s top-rating breakfast program, and knew all too well that women of her age were often left feeling invisible.
