TPG Telecom is getting rid of email accounts linked to internet brands like iiNet as it simplifies its business and cuts costs, forcing users to switch to a new company if they want to keep their email addresses.
The changes come amid turnover at the top of TPG, which said on Monday that chief financial officer Grant Dempsey had resigned “to spend more time with his family”. He will be replaced in November by John Boniciolli, who was formerly the finance boss for Vodafone New Zealand and a deputy finance boss at Telstra.
