TechOne founder to face grilling over $80m bullying claim

Patrick Durkin

TechnologyOne founder Adrian Di Marco is expected to face allegations he oversaw a culture of bullying and intimidation when he is cross-examined in the Federal Court on Monday, as part of a 10-year unfair dismissal case by a former executive who is claiming up to $80 million from the company.

Behnam Roohizadegan was Victorian manager of TechnologyOne for a decade from 2006 but claims to have been bullied, marginalised and undermined by two senior executives in sales and marketing. His dismissal from the company in 2016 left him depressed and unable to work again, although both sides dispute the extent to which this event played on his mental health.
