Fear among Australian board directors and chief executives that they will be left behind by rivals’ faster adoption of artificial intelligence is piling the pressure on technology executives to come up with new applications, and convince workers to use them.
Senior technology executives from Transurban, Telstra and Salesforce say board and CEO level enthusiasm for AI is welcome, but not always directed toward tangible aims.
