Specific teacher training about the ethical and effective use of artificial intelligence and greater protections for the copyrighted works of creative professionals are among the recommendations from a NSW inquiry into artificial intelligence, tabled on Thursday.

The Upper House Committee chaired by Jeremy Buckingham of the Legalise Cannabis Party put forward 12 recommendations from a process aimed at finding an appropriate balance between the opportunities, risks and challenges presented by AI.
