SafetyCulture cops $200m valuation setback to seal rare funding round

SafetyCulture, one of Australia’s biggest private technology companies, conceded a $200 million hit to its valuation in getting one of this year’s biggest funding rounds away, a $165 million deal led by Sydney’s Airtree Ventures.

The 20-year-old company has been revalued at $2.5 billion – from $2.7 billion a year ago – in a transaction its founder and chief executive Luke Anear said represented a strong result in a depressed market.
