Melbourne Uni start-up pulls in $15.8m from tech giants

A software start-up spun out of Melbourne University has attracted a $15.8 million investment from US tech giant Salesforce and German software vendor GBTEC, after making headway in a sector where established tech firms have been on a buyout spree.

Apromore, which is the result of more than a decade of research at universities in Melbourne, Queensland and Estonia, has created software in a field known as process mining.
