Late bloomer ‘start-up’ attracts $42m raise

After 22 years in business, two financial crises and a global pandemic, David Bergmark and David Tattam have closed their first capital raise, banking $US30 million ($42 million) for their risk management software company Protecht.

Having started the company in their 30s, the pair have grown their business without external funding for more than two decades, and have the grey hairs to prove it.
