London | A smartphone app designed for a war zone has found a new use in the age of coronavirus lockdowns, with two London-based Australians launching a tool that tells users when their local supermarket is quieter — and thus safer to use.
The free-to-use Crowdless app, launched last week and usable anywhere in the world, harnesses Google Maps and Google Places to give people a sense of how busy a supermarket or pharmacy is.
