Adacel back in black Adacel yesterday bounced back into the black with a $1.5 million first-half net profit on revenue that lifted 24 per cent to $25.4 million. The result reversed a recent slump for the aviation software maker, which turned in a $2.5 million half-year loss a year ago. The company said it was "cautiously optimistic" about continuing the improvement throughout the second half of the year. It finished the six months to December 31 with cash of $1.1 million, up from negative cash of $2.6 million, but did not declare a dividend. Ben Woodhead
