Employment Hero, one of the country’s biggest software start-ups, is making its biggest acquisition yet, spending more than $112 million on smaller rival Humi.

The deal will allow the human resources software provider, which is valued at just below $2 billion, to enter Canada as it expands overseas. Like Employment Hero, Humi makes cloud-based software which handles hiring, payroll and employee benefits for small and mid-sized businesses.
