The government has taken a step towards legislating to try to control the use of artificial intelligence, asking businesses for feedback on 10 proposals that aim to stamp out harm caused by AI misuse.
The Albanese government has warned that Australian laws are unfit for purpose in protecting people and businesses from new risks posed by AI, and that the technology can no longer be left unregulated.
