Canva turns investor in start-up aiming to organise the new work world

Start-up star Canva has joined a suite of high-profile investors to make its first venture capital investment in Sydney-based Calven, a software start-up promising to let employees and companies organise their post-pandemic flexible working world.

The $6.8 million seed funding round was led by AirTree Ventures, with money also coming from backers such as the Gonski family office and Michael Gonski, a partner in the employment law practice at Herbert Smith Freehills.
