Envato, a Melbourne-based digital assets marketplace valued at more than $1 billion by the Financial Review Rich List, saw a "scary" plummet in revenue last month before sales spiked again, driven by demand for e-commerce video templates, Zoom tutorials and logos for e-sports teams.
In the week commencing March 16, Envato's revenue plunged 15 per cent compared with the same week the previous year as countries such as Australia and the US "woke up to the fact the world was going to be different", according to co-founder and chief executive Collis Ta'eed.
