Aussie sports stars team up to invest in tech start-ups
Around 25 professional Australian sports stars have banded together to form a new investment syndicate with the aim of dipping their toes into the start-up investment world and learning more about business along the way.
Those involved in the newly formed Athletic Ventures include NBA player Matthew Dellavedova, Australian cricketer Mitchell Starc, Wallabies captain and rugby union player Michael Hooper, and Greater Western Sydney Giants AFL players Matt de Boer and Toby Greene.
