Apple draws a line under its pre-AI era

Apple’s launch of its long-awaited artificial intelligence software this week did not come soon enough to stave off investor fears that it might be lagging AI rivals such as Google and Microsoft.
Shares in Apple fell 1.5 per cent in after-hours trading Friday morning, Australian time, despite the company having just announced record quarterly revenues and better-than-expected iPhone sales.
