Children are bullying their peers with AI-generated “deepfake” pornography as part of what online safety authorities expect to be a flood of abuse stemming from largely unregulated artificial intelligence systems.

Adults are also using AI-generated text to impersonate and groom young people by mimicking the way they communicate, showing the unintended consequences of increasingly powerful generative AI tools.
