Sydney sponsor CPE Capital is closing in on a deal to acquire a Perth-based sausage manufacturer whose products appear in the fridges of the nation’s largest supermarkets.

Street Talk understands CPE managing director Cameron Buchanan is in negotiations to buy The British Sausage Company – maker of sausages, ham, bacon, burgers and meat pies for Coles, Woolworths, IGA and Harris Farm Markets – for around $200 million,
