Musk’s SpaceX, OpenAI, PsiQuantum: Aussie HNWs seek riches offshore

Wealthy Australian investors are grabbing their passports and chasing opportunities in some of the world’s biggest artificial intelligence and technology companies.

Street Talk understands a handful of family offices and high-net-worth individuals have taken a slice of three high-profile US companies – ChatGPT maker OpenAi, Elon Musk’s SpaceX rocket company and Silicon Valley quantum computing start-up backed by the Australian government PsiQuantum. Each has finalised funding rounds or secondary sales this year.
