In the Greek city of Xanthi, locals have for some years been ruing the day Australian entrepreneur Bill Papas thought it’d be a good idea to buy the local football team.
Papas was on Friday deemed the architect and chief beneficiary of a $500 million bank fraud perpetrated by his Forum Finance, which peppered major lenders with fake invoices for office equipment.
