Qantas’ largest shareholder, Pendal, remains a true believer.

Pendal’s head of equities, Crispin Murray, told clients last month that Qantas “is still actually a good franchise” and that Alan Joyce’s early departure was “important in terms of sending a strong message that going forward there is going to be a change of tone about the way the company is being run”.
