Point Piper in a lather over car wash king’s swimming pool

Crystal’s Anthony Sahade has tried and (so far) failed to have a pool built 10 metres elevated above Sydney Harbour.

It’s repeatedly called “Australia’s most expensive street” in the property Ponzi rags. Mainly because Wolseley Road in Point Piper has gun-barrel views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House, and therefore billionaires will fight tooth-and-nail for a privileged parcel.

Owners on the street include Frank Lowy, Jack Cowin, Goldman Sachs’ Zac Fletcher and Primo owner Paul Lederer. Chinese gold miner John Changjin Li paid $47.5 million for an apartment on the harbour cropping recently.
