Financiers gossip as ardently as schoolgirls, and Street Talk’s revelation of Tuesday’s police raid on boutique Sydney stockbroker EverBlu Capital has prompted as much chatter as the time EverBlu chairman Adam Blumenthal was charged with assaulting erstwhile business partner Terrence Clee (Blumenthal pleaded guilty but the magistrate dismissed the charge under the Mental Health Act).

Not that Blumenthal has ever managed to long keep a low profile. Those who purchase $30 million Bellevue Hill trophy homes or host $7500-a-head Liberal fundraisers attended by Scott Morrison and Josh Frydenberg rarely do.
