Elite Sydney health club runs $30,000 queue-jumper special

It’s a lot of money for a gym, but may be worth it for anyone who has missed out on footy finals or concert tickets given it includes access to the city’s biggest stadiums.

Is an exclusive club still exclusive if, for a cool $30,000, you can jump the queue for membership?

It’s a question members of the elite Sydney Sporting Club, where people sit on waitlists for at least a year to get a foot in the door, were asking this week. The institution launched a “premier” membership rank on Tuesday. By Sunday, it was sold out.
