After it asked investors to stump up cash for the fifth time in four years, it's easy to see why short-sellers might figure Syrah Resources an easy mark.

Even before Wednesday's capital-raise announcement, they held (in a manner of speaking) 19.6 per cent of Syrah's shares. That figure will only rise higher in coming days.
