The circa $13 million sale of a dated, single-level residence on one of Toorak’s best streets has pushed the per-square-metre record in Melbourne’s priciest suburb to $17,000.

Four parties battled it out at a private auction on March 19 for the three-bedroom home on a 769-square-metre block on exclusive cul-de-sac Kenley Court. The property was sold by the family of the late owner, Anne Myers.
