Rich List developer Tim Gurner has lifted the pipeline of build-to-rent units his Qualitas-backed platform will deliver over the next few years to 3650 apartments after revealing a string of new projects in Melbourne and Brisbane.

But amid a plethora of announcements of new BTR platforms, capital raisings and projects in recent weeks, he says the growth of the sector has been overplayed and will not fix the deepening housing crisis.
