On Sydney’s lower north shore, the couple who helped pioneer artificial intelligence in Australia, Chris Vonwiller and Julie Vonwiller, have paid $12.45 million for a house-sized penthouse overlooking the harbour.

The couple – who founded AI system Appen – have taken the keys to a Cremorne Point penthouse, clocking the record for the boutique block of four overlooking Mosman Bay, and joining the broader trend of ploughing tech profits into blue-chip real estate.
