Roc Partners has raised its offer for Costa fruit orchard landlord Vitalharvest to a leading $1.29 per unit ($238.65 million) or $353.65 million to acquire all the trust’s assets and says it intends to continue bidding up the price if Macquarie comes back with a higher offer.
The eighth offer from Sydney-based Roc came just before a May 26 deadline imposed by the trust’s responsible entity, The Trust Company, to ensure a unitholders meeting scheduled for June 10 to vote on the takeover offer goes ahead as planned, following several postponements.
