Recession fears not driving workers back to office: survey

The threat of recession is not forcing employees back to the office out of a fear of losing their jobs, according to a new global survey of white-collar workers by design firm Hassell.

While leaders such as US billionaire developer Stephen Ross have argued a recession would give workers fewer options and make them more likely to come back, employees most at risk of losing their job were least likely to be working in the office, the survey found.
