Listed land lease operator Lifestyle Communities will appeal a landmark tribunal decision that found its lucrative deferred management fees, or exit fees, charged to residents were invalid under state tenancy laws.

In a ruling handed down on Monday, Justice Ted Woodward found that Lifestyle Communities had breached Victoria’s tenancy laws by failing to clearly state the amount of deferred management fees in its residential site agreements.
