The corporate watchdog’s case against Mariner is shaping up for an old-style courtroom grilling of key witnesses to allegations the corporate raider, led by Darren Olney-Fraser , launched an unfunded takeover bid.
The Securities and Investments Commission alleges Mr OlneyFraser, along with Mariner chairman Don Christie and former director Matthew Fletcher, breached their corporate duties when Mariner announced its intention to take over broker Austock in June 2012.
