CBD offices fight back as tenants exit suburbs

Wesfarmers Health, the newest division of the ASX-listed conglomerate, is moving from its Camberwell office in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs to a refurbished former Victoria Police headquarters in the CBD that gives it space to expand and the ability to draw on a wider pool of workers.

The business unit currently dominated by API, the pharmaceutical supply chain and retail business Wesfarmers acquired last year for $774 million, has taken an initial 3500 square metres in the 637 Flinders Street building, with options to expand over 5000sq m and beyond.
