What we learnt in property this reporting season

The earnings period showed up all the old – as well as a number of new – challenges for the sector.

The winners in the February 2020 reporting season have now given back most of their post-report gains but the trends identified in the reports will continue to reverberate well into the COVID-19 downturn.

Office was good, logistics keenly sought and retail was split, with the big malls struggling while the smaller non-discretionary centres delivered.
