We have abandoned and alienated Australia’s middle-class centre
Forgotten Australians feel very angry. They are starting to build tremendous resentment about the way that they feel estranged from so many conversations.
I don’t believe the neoconservative line that government is just bad. It is vital to deliver the services people need, set the tone for society and to manage our strategic objectives.
So, I am a fan of government – not big government, but good government. And part of good government is addressing runaway spending.
