Trucks ferrying supplies to key parts of Sydney’s Metro Rail project have been ordered off the road during morning peak hour after drivers negotiating the new $4.6 billion Rozelle Interchange continued to suffer hour-long delays on Wednesday.
Drivers heading into the city from Drummoyne and Balmain in the morning rush hour reported it took 90 minutes to reach the CBD, while parents on school runs endured half-hour waits on trips that usually take five minutes, as the spaghetti junction triggered a third day of traffic chaos.
