Surgeries cancelled in NSW as doctors strike

The Minns government in NSW is cancelling hundreds of elective surgeries in preparation for a three-day strike that could result in thousands of doctors walking off the job.

The doctors’ union plans a strike from Tuesday to Thursday that would reduce services to public holiday “skeleton” staffing levels to gain leverage over the government in a pay claim.
