The National Energy Guarantee won't stop the march of renewable energy and with an intense focus on competition it shouldn't further entrench the market dominance of Big Power.
It won't do much to accelerate the shift to clean energy either – unless a future government sharply increases the level of emissions reduction ambition – or to reduce prices or emissions.
