Prime Minister Scott Morrison spent the second day of his re-election campaign on the offence, swooping into a must-win marginal electorate on NSW’s South Coast and announcing a $40 million package to upgrade local roads.

Mr Morrison’s first stop was in Nowra in the Labor-held seat of Gilmore, where he faced questions about his handling of the Black Summer bushfires and pledged $40 million to upgrade roads in the region.
