Better advice to the federal government about remote Indigenous education will help close the disadvantage gap and stop hundreds of millions of dollars being wasted, Linda Burney says.
The Indigenous Australians Minister on Wednesday will use the Abbott government’s Remote School Attendance Strategy as an example of a policy that failed because it was developed without adequate consultation, noting attendance is going backwards at 84 schools.
