The Victorian government has failed to hand over critical information about its controversial Suburban Rail Loop for almost two years, stalling its demands for a further $9.3 billion from federal taxpayers.
Infrastructure Australia, the Albanese government’s independent assessor for road and rail funding, said it received an investment case for the project in August 2022 and asked for more information a month later.
