The government might have to wait another fortnight before knowing whether it will secure the passage of its union integrity bill after Jacqui Lambie and Pauline Hanson threw the legislation in doubt.
Last night, Industrial Relations Minister Christian Porter still hoped to reach a compromise after Senator Lambie wavered from her previous pledge to vote for the bill if John Setka remained at the helm of the Victorian division of the CFMEU.
