It’s a decade-of-deficits budget without a budget policy or agendas for tax reform or economic growth, just as Trump smashes the global order that has supported our prosperity.
This is a budget without a budget policy. It makes no attempt to start tackling the actual fiscal problem that the government’s books have slipped back into the red and are forecast to stay there for another decade.
Worse still, it’s a budget without credible tax policy as Labor resorts to more ad hoc political fiddling of the tax scales.
