The most anticipated Ashes series in decades has entered a three-way dance of death between competing captains, Australia’s Pat Cummins and England’s Ben Stokes, and the fickle English weather.

After just two days of the Third Ashes cricket Test at Headingley, Leeds, an astonishing 24 wickets have fallen on a fast but seemingly fairly reliable pitch, with the bowlers from both teams at times dominant.
