'The borders swiftly shut behind us': Travel lockdown traps Aussies

Australians who missed out on seats on a commercial flight home from Peru say they've been abandoned by the federal government, with infants and a 96-year-old among those desperate for help.

Nearly 300 Australians are expected to land in Sydney on Tuesday morning after departing on a flight organised by charter operator Chimu Adventures.
