Stranded Aussies to miss out on special Peru charter flight

Hundreds of Australians face missing out on special flights to escape a coronavirus travel lockdown in Peru, with the Morrison government promising further assistance to bring home stranded citizens from remote locations.

Foreign Minister Marise Payne confirmed on Friday government-facilitated commercial charter flights were due to depart Peru and Uruguay within days, operated by Australian travel company Chimu Adventures.
