Attorney-General Michelle Rowland has defended the beleaguered National Anti-Corruption Commission against allegations it is not transparent, saying it was working properly and she has absolute confidence in its leadership.
In her first newspaper interview since being appointed Australia’s first law officer, Rowland also flagged fresh changes to privacy laws in response to the proliferation of generative AI, and a greater focus on laws aimed at child protection.
