Australian consumers fighting rising cost-of-living pain are increasingly looking to repair important products rather than replace them, saving money and stemming pressure on landfill.

Research commissioned by waste management giant Veolia Australia New Zealand found nearly 80 per cent of consumers said they would repair an important item like clothing, whitegoods or a laptop rather than replace it. More than 50 per cent said saving money was a key motivator for choosing repair.
