PM reveals election options with March 29 budget

The Morrison government has given itself the option of a May 7 election at the earliest, should it choose to hand down another federal budget before going to the polls.
Alternatively, should it choose not to have another budget, mid-March would be the most likely date for the election at which the Coalition is seeking a fourth successive term.
