Scott Morrison has sought to temper criticism of his government over the COVID-19 crisis in aged care by stressing it was important to differentiate between those who died while infected with coronavirus, and those who died because of it.
As Labor used the resumption of Parliament for the year to home in on the aged care crisis, Mr Morrison argued it was “naive and misleading” to claim the omicron variant could have been kept out of the sector.
